    Trumbull County Board of DD


    The Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities, also known as The Fairhaven Program, has served residents of Trumbull County with developmental disabilities for over 50 years. We provide services such as employment, education and training to those individuals living with developmental disabilities. Today, we provide services to approximately 1,200 individuals in Trumbull County.

  • Adaptive Sports Program of Ohio

    People with physical disabilities have the same passion for sport that the nondisabled population do. The difference is just in how they play the sport. With minor adaptations and specialized equipment, the sidelined can experience all the benefits that sport provide. Adaptive Sports Ohio is here to make opportunities a reality.

  • Trumbull County Special Olympics Program

    Special Olympics has worked with the TCBDD for more than 20 years. Its mission is to partner with the TCBDD and similar organizations to help encourage the community to get involved and, most importantly, to help people who may not be able to help themselves. Special Olympics also helps individuals to be active and involved with their peers, be a part of the community and foster inclusion.

  • Family Success Network

    Family Success Network Guide


    The Family Success Network is a child abuse and neglect prevention program geared toward all families in Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull Counties. This program is designed to strengthen resiliency and increase protective factors for families through information and referral, Family Coaching, Triple P, Transition to Independence, and Money 101 programs. Through this voluntary program, at risk families can gain the knowledge and skills necessary to avoid child welfare intervention.

  • Special Navigator for Families with Special Needs

    This program offers free guidance and referral information to families that have children with developmental disabilities, mental health/emotional issues, substance abuse, autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, and more. A Parent/Family Specialist provides free support, guiding families to navigate the maze of educational, medical, mental health, substance abuse matters, and community support services. This service is available for Mahoning and Trumbull County residents.

  • Fairhaven School

    The Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities operates the Fairhaven School in Niles. Fairhaven School is a vital program of the local community striving to meet the goal of the TCBDD to provide choices, opportunities, and resources that enable children and adults with developmental disabilities to fully reach their potential. The school provides educational programming to address fundamental and functional skills in accordance with the Ohio Academic Content Standards Extended.

  • SEP - Summer Enrichment Program

    SEP, the Summer Enrichment Program of Trumbull County, is a 5 week summer day camp for children from the ages of 6 through 22.


    It has been held continually for over 35 years serving the needs of children with special needs in Trumbull County.


    The camp is held Monday through Friday during June and July. Transportation to and from home and most lunches are provided for the campers. We also try to go on at least 2 field trips a week, along with the daily activities of Music, Gym, and Arts & Crafts.


    Space is limited so applications should be sent as soon as possible starting February 1.
